BIOGRAPHY

Zhou Song was born in Jiangxi Province in 1982. He graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 2006 and currently works and lives in Beijing. His solo exhibitions include Shanghai Powerlong Museum (2024), Osthaus Museum Hagen, Germany (2023), Bonn Contemporary Art Museum, Germany (2023), Guardian Art Center, Beijing (2022), HOW Art Museum, Shanghai (2022), and Today Art Museum, Beijing (2009), among others.

His works have been featured in group exhibitions and art projects at numerous institutions, including the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art, Grand Palais in France, Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Bonn Contemporary Art Museum (Germany), University of Vienna, European Cultural Centre in Venice, YBL Creative Art Center in Budapest, Jorge Rando Museum, Sotheby's Los Angeles, Toronto Art Centre (Canada), Palacio Schacht in Santiago, Inca Garcilaso Cultural Center (Peru), Museum of Contemporary Art of Panama, Panama Canal Museum, National Gallery of Costa Rica, National Art Gallery of Venezuela, National Art Museum of China, Beijing Times Art Museum, Guangdong Museum of Art, Chongqing Art Museum, Wuhan Art Museum, Chengdu Museum of Contemporary Art, Shenzhen Guan Shanyue Art Museum, He Xiangning Art Museum, 2023-2024 Nord Art Exhibition (Germany), the 59th Venice Biennale Parallel Exhibition "Personal Structures," 13th Havana Biennial, 3rd International Biennial Conference on Machine Philosophy, 11th Florence Biennale (Italy), Today's Documents, Chengdu Biennale, and others.

Notable awards include the Lorenzo International Prize for Installation Art at the 11th Florence International Biennale (2017), the Grand Painting Prize at the 5th May Fourth International Youth Art Festival (2012), and the First Prize for Graduation Work at Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts (2006).

Zhou Song's works are held in the collections of institutions and individuals such as the Benetton Foundation in Italy, Harvard University CAMLab, Osthaus Museum Hagen, Bonn Contemporary Art Center, Palacio Schacht in Chile, Panama ASA Foundation, Shanghai Powerlong Museum, Today Art Museum, Guardian Art Center, HOW Art Museum, Hanwei International Group, Today Group, and Artron Art Group.
